Who does this supplementary privacy notice apply to?

This supplementary privacy notice applies to all those who we supply QBR and UNBOXED equipment and uniforms to, including:

  • Children and their parents or guardian;
  • Athletes;
  • Volunteers;
  • Batonbearers;
  • Organising Committee staff;
  • Commonwealth Games Association staff and
  • Local Authority staff.

What information do we collect and why do we need it?

The information about you which we collect during this process is your:

  • Name;
  • Postal address;
  • Email address;
  • Telephone number;
  • Date of birth;
  • Uniform size.

We may also process special categories of data relating to your disability (where applicable), any personal identifiable information and whether you are a child.

We need to gather this data about you to pass information to suppliers in order to secure equipment and uniforms for the QBR and UNBOXED.

Who will have access to your personal information?

We may share your personal data with the following entities:

  • Courier companies and
  • Bilko and Incorporatewear, clothing manufacturers that are manufacturing our crew, batonbearer and volunteer clothing and accessories.

How is processing your information lawful?

The OC’s lawful basis for processing your information is that it is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in us as the data controller of your personal data.  

The OC's lawful basis for processing your special category data is that it is necessary for reasons of substantial public interest.

How long do we keep your personal data?

We will retain your details relating to special category data and sizing information until the end of 28/07/2022.

We will retain all of your remaining personal data until 01/09/2022.
