Who does this supplementary privacy notice apply to?

This supplementary privacy notice applies to Volunteer Drivers, Birmingham 2022 Staff and Games Family Clients who complete and submit a Birmingham 2022 Vehicle Use & Safe Driver Form.

 What information do we collect and why do we need it?

The information about you which we collect in relation to the venue transport process is your:

  • Name;
  • telephone number;
  • email address;
  • job title;
  • nationality;
  • medical/health data (‘special category persona data’);
  • accessibility/disability information (‘special category persona data’); and
  • other driving suitability information.

We need to gather and process this data about you to assess your suitability as a Games fleet driver.

Who will have access to your personal information?

We share your personal data with our training services supplier, RED Training Ltd, who collect the data on our behalf.

How is processing your information lawful?

Birmingham 2022’s lawful basis for processing your information is that it is necessary for us to comply with our legal obligations.

Regarding the processing of your special category data, our lawful basis is that it is necessary for the purposes of carrying out the obligations and exercising specific rights of the controller in the field of employment and social security and social protection law.
