Our Cultural Education strand supported more schools, teachers and students to experience the Birmingham 2022 Festival. Over a thousand students engaged in creative activities from dance, to performing arts, to drawing and sculpture in response to art works within the festival. Teachers had the opportunity to hear directly from the artists about their creative process and themes at the heart of their work. Conversations between the teachers and artists gave the teachers the chance to share their thoughts and opinions about current issues within the classroom and how creativity can be the catalyst for change in a range of spaces from mental health, to representative and inclusivity.
