What would it feel like if Brum's streets actively celebrated gender divergence? If our streets were safe for people who are transgender and non-binary? If they looked out for all of us?   With homophobic street based violence on the rise in Birmingham, this project is Looking ‘Out’; re-imagining street signs and the city to make our streets a safer place for not just the LGBTQI+ community, but for everyone day to day. These street signs have been community designed by West Midlands based queer people; artists and community members. There are 6 to see!
