Turner Prize-winning and internationally renowned artist Lubaina Himid CBE invites us to consider the experiences of women in the city, as seen through the lens of art.

With works primarily drawn from the Arts Council Collection and Birmingham’s own collection, this exhibition encourages us to bring our experiences of the urban environment to reflect on the boundaries which may curb our enjoyment or the privileges which mean we are free to roam.

This is an exhibition with conversations between audiences and artists at its heart, each exchanging observations, memories and imaginings to give us all a greater sense of ownership and belonging.
