United By Birmingham 2022 Legacy Charity

United By 2022 has been established as the legacy charity for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

2022 will be an extraordinary year of celebration and the Games will touch millions of people. Grounded in that spirit, we are building a community fund in the lead up to and during the Games. The community fund will ensure the legacy and benefits of Birmingham 2022 continue to be delivered in the years following the Games, making a tangible difference at the heart of the diverse communities of Birmingham and the wider West Midlands.

The United by 2022 Legacy Charity will support projects that:

  • Are community led, enabling our communities to put their ideas into action and work to solving the challenges on their doorstep
  • Promote fairness and social inclusion
  • Ensure our venues and other games assets are turned into well used and well-loved community spaces after the Games

Applications for United by 2022 community fund grants will open after the Games in the Autumn of 2022.

United by Birmingham 2022 Community Programme

The current United by Birmingham 2022 community programme recognises exceptional projects that are delivered by grass-roots organisations that are having a positive impact on the communities that they serve in the lead up to Birmingham 2022.

Current United by Birmingham 2022 projects do not receive any grant funding, but we would welcome applications from project owners when United by 2022 community fund grants are made available in Autumn 2022.
