The Oswestry Community Games originally started in 2012 off the back of the London 2012 Olympics and ran until 2019 only halting due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. With the influence of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, we are now looking to revive the project as it played a vital role in our local community.

We are delighted to be part of United by Birmingham 2022 community programme. This is really rewarding for Oswestry and our working group after three long years of being unable to deliver this key event. We will certainly be celebrating this achievement and encouraging local people to attend this amazing spectacle in Birmingham in July and August.

With so many sports clubs, dance and community groups coming along to take part in Cae Glas Park, this year’s 10th anniversary Oswestry Community Games promises to be a real burst of life!
