The Queen’s Baton spent two days in Jersey, engaging with school children and members of the local communities, from 10-11 June.

On the first day, the Baton was welcomed onto the island by Jersey's Lieutenant Governor Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton and Lady Anne Dalton, then was present for a reception at Government House. Later that day, sports volunteers and school children attended a celebration at Florence Boot Fields (FB Fields) and took turns relaying the Baton around the track.

Sports volunteers, Mo Obarska and Jean Cross, carried the Baton at an evening reception at Samarès Manor.

On the second day, Batonbearers carried the Baton around various areas of Jersey, engaging with different sport clubs at each spot. At Grainville School, attendees and Batonbearers played and demonstrated their skills in lawn bowls, tennis, and cricket, then at FB Fields, people tried their hand at athletics and table tennis.

The day continued at Gorey Long Beach with a martial arts demonstration before Batonbearer cycled to St Martin Village Green. Afternoon activities kicked off at Greve de Lecq beach with a variety of watersports displays. At Crabbe Activity Centre, archery and shooting activities were available for people to partake in, which was followed by a rugby event at the JRFC ground.

At the Gunsite Beach, Batonbearers took to the water in rowboat then had a go at a mini-triathlon and beach volleyball. The Relay came to an end at Royal Square, with a vibrant community celebration.
