Aged 26, Ruman is a Bangladeshi archer from the Khulna district.

Dedicated to his training, on any given training day he is shooting up to 300-400 arrows! This level of commitment has led to him breaking down boundaries and making history throughout his career. In 2019, he became the first Bangladeshi archer in history to win a medal in the World Archery Championships, by placing third. Following this achievement, he was shortlisted for the World Athlete of the Year Award 2019, in two categories: Recurve Men's and Breakthrough.

In 2021, he was a part of the first Bangladeshi team to reach the final of the Archery World Cup and won a silver medal, marking the best performance by Bangladesh at the competition.

During the start of pandemic, in April 2020, Ruman joined forces with a social activist group to raise funds to help support vulnerable people in the community. Currently, Ruman is training hard for upcoming competitions.
