The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games has welcomed an additional five new providers to a growing list of sponsors to provide services, systems and equipment to deliver a safe and successful Games. The addition of a number of new providers illustrates that momentum is ramping up and Birmingham 2022 is on track to host an incredible showcase of sport, of sport, culture, creativity and community.

OCS Group UK, part of the international facilities management company, has been selected to provide security services for the Games. Named as the Official Security Personnel Provider, OCS will provide services including screening, vehicle search, patrols and response teams at Alexander Stadium, Sandwell Aquatics Centre, NEC campus hotels and the Games Family Hotel Accommodation.

As Official Software and Solutions Provider for Core Games Management Systems, Wiz-Team, will deliver a suite of fully integrated and customisable applications for the Birmingham 2022 Queen’s Baton Relay, as well as accreditation and access control, plus sport entries and qualifications.

Global provider of event management solutions, EventsAIR has been named as the Official Accommodation and Transfer Systems Provider. The company will be supporting the management of accommodation reservations and arrival and departure transfers for Games Family attending the event through its underlying platform and tailored web portals.

Sports Technology (ST) has been appointed Official Provider of Large Video Screens and Audio Services. Alongside LED and PA systems in the majority of the venues, ST will provide a broad range of audio-visual services including an innovative and highly flexible signal distribution network in every venue, providing a fully integrated IP based solution for all non-broadcast audio, video and data distribution.

Riedel Communications join Birmingham 2022 as Official Radio Communications Provider, using its resources and previous expertise in global sporting events to provide radio communications for the Queen’s Baton Relay as well as the Games themselves.
