Malaysia beat India to win mixed team gold
Pearly Tan Koong Lee and Thinaah Muralitharan clinched the gold with women's doubles victory.
Malaysia beat India in a reverse of the mixed team event final result from four years ago to win gold at Birmingham 2022.
In a fierce contest that lasted almost exactly four hours, Malaysia came through to seal a 3-1 win as Pearly Tan Koong Lee and Thinaah Muralitharan clinched the gold with women's doubles victory.
A win in the men's doubles put Malaysia ahead, but Pusarla Venkata Sindhu levelled the scores for India in a hard-fought 2-0 women's singles win.
NG Tze Yong put Malaysia back in front before the women's doubles finished the job.
Singapore got revenge on England in a repeat of the bronze medal match from Gold Coast 2018, running out comprehensive 3-0 winners.
It was the second time Singapore have got the better of England in Birmingham following a 4-1 success in the group phase.
Terry Hee Yong Kai and Wei Han Jessica Tan kicked things off with a double win, and Kean Yew Loh and Yeo Jia Min clinched singles victories to secure the bronze.
Yeo said: "At the last Commonwealths we didn't win anything, so this is definitely an improvement. We played as a team and did our best in every single match. I'm very proud."
