The Birmingham 2022 Queen’s Baton Relay has completed an epic four days in London, celebrating sports, culture and communities across the capital over the Platinum Jubilee weekend, where thousands joined the celebrations and witnessed the excitement.

From 2-5 June, over 40 incredible Batonbearers, made up of community heroes and Team England athletes, took on the honourable role of carrying the Baton.

Highlights included joining a Britannia-inspired party at the iconic Battersea Power Station, meeting the future stars of basketball at London Elite Basketball Club in north west London, being carried into the Tower of London by Tessa Sanderson CBE, soaring along the River Thames on a Marine Police Unit boat, making an appearance on stage at the BBC’s Platinum Party at the Palace, touring the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, boarding a dragon boat at the Royal Docks and engaging with local school children at 10 Downing Street.

We now can't wait to see the Baton return to England in July for its final journey to Birmingham!
