Project Details

Queen Alexandra College is a specialist college for young people with disabilities, ranging from sensory impairments to physical disabilities and learning difficulties.

The college knows from working with students that the right support can open doors, develop skills, and highlight opportunities that would otherwise be unknown and out of reach to them. They also know that many young people with disabilities do not have access to the support and expertise QAC provides. Their Community Services (CS) provision supports young people with learning difficulties, disabilities, and other high needs in a social context. Their CS Hub provides a safe, supported, and social environment for clients to access a range of activities aligned to their individual interests. This will help further develop their confidence, independence, and social networks, which will help overcome feelings of social isolation and other barriers, in turn improving and maintaining their physical and mental health.
