Media Accommodation

There will be some rooms available in a selection of Birmingham city centre hotels for the accredited media to book. Once an individual’s accreditation application has been approved, they will be sent a link to the accommodation reservation system to view the options, rates, reserve rooms and make payments. Note there are a variety of other accommodation options in Birmingham and around the outlying venues and media are welcome to make their own arrangements to best suit their needs.

Media Transport

The media transport solution for the Commonwealth Games will combine sustainable public transport options with accredited shuttle services.

Birmingham is a well-connected city and many Games venues can be easily reached by existing train, bus or tram services, while in some cases, walking will be the quickest way to reach the central venues. For other competition sites, scheduled media buses will run to and from the city centre.

Further details on the routes, schedules, recommended public transport options, and out-of-hours solutions will be published closer to Games-time.

Note that a limited number of parking passes for competition venues will be available to purchase and prices will be available in November. If you would like further details, please email mediaoperations@birmingham2022.com.
