‘Gift of Time’ emphasises the urgency and immediacy of the need for communities to rally together for the greater good and hopes to encourage more people to donate their time to volunteering.
The volunteer programme offers an introduction to work or a reason to remain active and useful as a volunteer will create many compelling opportunities for individuals and Acorns.
Acorns hope that his project will instil the pride people feel in volunteering and make volunteering a normal part of everyday life.
The concept of donating “The Gift of Time” is that inclusion, personal growth, participation, and commitment of a small amount of time can turn in to a recognisable bridge to wellbeing, advancement, and other opportunities. In doing so, the region learns and shifts, building a new way of thinking which calls to volunteers and others to come together in celebration of our shared values.
