The PLP Academy deliver an active well-being programme which brings sport and physical activity into the lives of communities and directly to their living rooms.
The programme provides three active well-being sessions per week on an online platform. In addition to this, there are two mindfulness sessions that focus on supporting the mental health and well-being of programme participants and help them through these difficult and unprecedented times.
The project is being delivered in a remote capacity due to issues surrounding lockdown and social distancing. However, it will keep people engaged in sport and physical activity through active well-being sessions.
The programme engages people who are isolated at home, and those who lead a sedentary lifestyle as identified by the PLP Academy through their existing knowledge and experience of the community and through their network of key stakeholders and partners.
