Dinner With Strangers is a concept which aims to bring people together and explores human connection. Birmingham 2022 is hosting a virtual version of Dinner With Strangers to allow residents of the West Midlands to meet new people from the comfort of our own homes.

We are hosting Dinner With Strangers for those currently living in or from the West Midlands.

Dinner With Strangers will be hosted via Zoom. Please ensure you have access to a laptop or computer with a webcam and a reliable internet connection before applying.

We will record the video calls and some of the conversations will be shared on the Birmingham 2022 social channels and our website.

Based on the answers in your application, we will pair you with somebody that we think you will have an interesting conversation with. This will be based on your interests. It may be that we pair you up with somebody that has different interests to you so that you can discuss any similarities and differences you may have.


The most dedicated, highly trained and determined athletes from across 71 nations will come together for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games in a momentous celebration of sport, competition and community.
